Hope House – Greenburger Center

Investing In Hope

V-Cap provided technical assistance and financing to the Greenburger Center’s development of Hope House on Crotona Park, an Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) initiative for people with serious mental illness who are accused of felony level crimes. Hope House is a barrier-breaking pilot program offering up to two years of residential treatment in a therapeutic environment as an alternative to incarceration, with a sustained focus on reentry to the community.

A Catalyst for Cultural Healing

V-Cap is thrilled to finance the Cleo Parker Robinson Center for the Healing Arts, an inspiring expansion of Denver’s iconic community arts facility that brings together the transformative power of the arts and mental health services. This project solidifies CPRD’s role as a leader in Colorado’s health community and a champion for innovative mental health solutions.

Project Highlights

  • V-Cap works with Community Health Centers across North Carolina to expand services, as well as financing and technical assistance. V-Cap’s projects support health center development in communities with significant unmet need for primary, dental, mental health, and specialty care.

  • V-Cap partnered with AllHealth Network in Colorado to expand behavioral health access through an innovative New Markets Tax Credit Operating Investment. The investment supported expansion of services to 5,000 new clients, and addition of 40 new clinicians to meet critical community needs. The transaction generated $2.8 M in grant-like subsidy enabling AllHealth’s expansion.

  • V-Cap’s capital, technical assistance, and partnerships help community health providers capture substantial grant-like subsidy through New Markets Tax Credits to support growth.  We partner early in health center and behavioral health organization expansion projects to drive scarce subsidy to needed community-based services.
